Guidelines for Apps Approval
Saturday, 18 September 2010 07:53

Apple Inc. provappleided software developers with guidelines concerning the programs that can be distributed in the App Store keeping still freedom to itself on rejection of this or that application. The developers have been complaining about the capricious rules of the company blocking programs that accordingly could not appear on iPad, iPod touch and iPhone devices.

Some developers assert that the procedure of approval is not that clear to them and looked like a black hole. All were eager to receive some comments concerning this point, novice developers in particular who are puzzled about unclear policy rules.

Apple representatives assert that application not providing something useful will be rejected and continues to dictate the content for distribution in the store. And there are probably reasons to it. The main business rival of App Store is Android Marketplace that belongs to Google Inc. There are few restrictions there and the developers naturally welcomed that but eventually a great number of bad-quality applications appeared in it. There was even an application sending text messages secretly with request of payment and bills were added to cell phone bills. Only thanks to strict policy in this respect App Store has been a success since it started it work in 2008.
