It takes some time to get accustomed to touch keyboard, but as adaptation period is over this is not so hard. The rumors are circulating that some iOS devices are going to hide its buttons completely.

Buttonless iPhones and iPads will appear thanks to dislike of Steve Jobs to buttons. This has an influence on the iPad 2 hardware and other iOS devices that will follow. They say that the next iPhone and iPad will have no buttons.  The home button was traditionally employed for navigation.

The multitouch gesture, which was included by the developers of the company into the iOS 4.3 was made already with consideration that home button would be removed.  All functions of iPhone will be performed through the touch screen. It seems that the state of expectation will not last long.

This is going to be a revolutionary change. Steve Jobs is passionate about intuitive interface and this influences the approach to hardware as well, which should also be minimal. Steve Jobs wanted to refuse from arrows long ago.

He always stood for the conception to remove all buttons from the device and at last his wish will be realized.
In spite of it iPad 2, which was presented at CES, had its home button, so it remains to be seen when this happens.
