Acer unveiled Iconia Smart |

With the hope to come to the smartphone market, Acer unveiled a new tablet, which is actually a smartphone hybrid - the 4.8‘’ device called Iconia Smart. The gadget is too oversized in a strange way as it was noticed by many. Is it really good being so big?Acer’s comes to mobile:, the PC maker unveiled Iconia Smart handset and this was its release prepared for the Mobile World Congress in Spain, Barcelona. The smartphone features a 4.8-inch screen, 1024 x 480 pxl resolution. Acer can be perfect for widescreen movies thanks to the ratio added to it - 21:9.The Iconia Smart can boast of a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor though it is not so rapid as the dual-core processors which are in the basis of many devices at present. It runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). Iconia Smart has a 8MP rear camera with LED screen.
Acer says that the gadget is good for browsing and playing games as it has 6-axis gyro and accelerometer, therefore the tablet features united with the smartphone features. But it remains unclear, if it is big enough to be a tablet and too little to serve as a smartphone. Acer plans to enter the market as a rival to the Apple iPad. The company will make the device on Android OS. Acer management think that tablet will replace netbooks. |
