There is information in New York Times that iPhone Nano will not appear as it was rumored before, but the price of these phones will be not so expensive than the price of the models before.
Bloomberg and the Wall Street Journal are confident that a smaller in size iPhone with cheaper price was elaborated and, perhaps, it is planned for a release in summer. The New York Times decided to join the discussion and put an end to the rumors that the device is going to be diminutive. But anyway it will probably be cheaper.
The Times referred to anonymous sources when it reported about Apple’s plans, saying that a smaller gadget should not necessarily be less expensive in production. Moreover it is harder to operate. A smaller in size iPhone would make developers to deal with less space. Besides, the requirement of apps adaptation to smaller screen will follow and this is a slippery way to the software fragmentation. We all remember that Steve Jobs considers it so tiresome about the Android operating system.
Nevertheless, even if a iPhone Nano is a Utopia, an iPhone at a reasonable price may still turn out to be real. In accordance with the report, Apple is trying to reduce the cost of the device of the next generation because they want it to be affordable and that means also more competitive with smartphones on the Android platform.
It’s not understandable if the company is really working over the model with a cheaper price beside the expected iPhone 5, or if the iPhone 5 is going to be not so costly. Apple is supposedly working over expanding of the iPhone’s appeal trying to make it responsive to voice commands and this is like an option preferred by some people instead of the touchscreen for making basic operations. Are there any other rumors concerning the iPhone 5? Certainly there will be some more soon. As analysts say the iPhone 5 will be launched this summer. |
