Popularity of the offshore outsourcing |

With pressures of expenses and software innovation, CIOs go on looking abroad for services and development projects. CIO study of the global situation reveals that 90% of CIOs will enhance offshore outsourcing projects during this and the next year. Outsourcing was used a lot during the crisis and CIOs plan to keep on using outsourced services. In accordance with the survey of 2,855 IT executives from different parts of the world: · 62 % of them are involved into outsource software-application development; · 53 % are involved into outsource IT infrastructure services; · 53 % are engaged into outsource software maintenance. 22 % of the companies outsource systems integration, 8 % are responsible for Business Process Outsourcing (BPO), 6 % offer for outsourcing the whole IT department and 8 % outsource HR BPO. 36 % of CIOs are going to budget more for offshore outsourcing activities. Among the regions where offshore outsourcing is spread are countries of Eastern Europe. Nevertheless, no country can leave India behind. Vivacious IT activity is noticed in Vietnam, China and the Philippines. Harvey Nash points out the dominant role of India though it is changing at the moment. 10% of global CIOs start offshore activity in Eastern Europe. About 50% of CIOs spend 10 % of IT budget on outsourcing. All figures say about overall worldly popularity of the offshore outsourcing form. |
