Google Refine 2.0 is released

Google has mgoogle-refine-20-is-releasedade the update and released again open-source software programs which were created to clean, analyze and transform data sets, under the name of Google Refine.

In the beginning the software Freebase Gridworks was acquired with Metaweb in summer. This is the company Google bought.

The software represents a set to tools needed to wrangle helpful info out of the data set when there is no consistency in it.

Google Refine is able to discover the versions of word spelling, change the word into different one. This procedure is known under the name of personalization. When usually you normalize the data the code is needed and it is special in each case. But Gridworks were able to generate it and there was no necessity to write the code. There are other features in this software programs as well with the ability of data analysis, application of filters.

You can operate the software program with text files and export the results to JavaScript and then to HTML table.

PC memory determines the efficiency and speed of software program work. What is different from other spreadsheet software is the fact that it is able to perform transformation in an interactive manner.

Besides, additional features were added to the software this week. From now on Google Refine 2.0 can to link records to different database in addition to other features.
