Facebook teamed with Bing to add sociability to search online. Users of Facebook will have their friends pop up when they use Bing search being simultaneously logged on the social network resource. It is available already for some citizens of the USA.

Facebook guarantees the privacy of users, this is a weak point for the company.

The decision of the following type was made according to the assurance of companies to combine search of information with the process of taking decisions thus making it more personal and beneficial.

As you decide upon something you need advice from the people you know. In this connection Bing adds some features to search such as “Liked Results” demonstrating what is that your friends liked searching online and “Facebook profile search.”

But this collaboration may cause problems for both Facebook and Bing because some people consider that it concerns the personal information, the likes and dislikes of people and not all people may like this intrusion to personal territory.  If I like something that does not mean to demonstrate it for other people even if they are my friends.

Several other companies joined Bing in Instant Personalization project. This will influence the general situation in the web much and will make Google do something of the kind.
