Facebook earned $2B in 2010

Facebook mfacebook_logoade over $2 billion this year. It was reported that Facebook increased its profit twice in comparison with the previous year. In figures this is $700 M. -$800M.

Bloomberg informed that Facebook executives hoped to earn $1.5 billion in sales this year but anticipations were considerably surpassed.

The analysts were not surprised about successful monetizing of the assets. The social network enjoys great popularity at present and attracts much attention thanks to the increase of publicity.

Some time ago Facebook was criticized for the lack of reliable business plan. The social network developed quickly and required a business model to benefit from its fame. Facebook succeeded in attracting funds and here are the results.

As Bloomberg, Facebook asserts the popular network became alluring for such a big players in the market as Coca-Cola, Adidas and JPMorgan Chase & Co., which became its advertisers.

Facebook had not commented upon this news yet. A range of clever business solutions contributed to the financial success though it is rather hard not to achieve it with such a big customer base. July was marked as a month when the network attracted the 500 millionth client.

Besides, Mark Zuckerberg was chosen Time’s Person of the Year and it also attracted attention just the same way movie Social Network did. The film focuses on the history of the Facebook creation and the way Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg became a billionaire.

Though there are weak points about the network as well. Privacy issues are constantly discussed this year.
