Visa acquires payment platform PlaySpan and pays $190 million for it |

It lets publishers and web developers to sell virtual products and services over the web, such as games, mobile applications and social networks. Besides, the e-commerce company provides a pre-paid credit card for digital goods, called Ultimate Game Card. This card can be acquired at over 50,000 retail outlets in the USA. It is regarded to be one of the most widely spread cards of this type.
In October, the deal was concluded between Facebook and PlaySpan, which lets using UltimatePay service to give the users of the social network an opportunity to buy Facebook Credits in 20 supplementary ways.
