Google + - The Latest application from Google |
Wednesday, 17 August 2011 07:02 |
This is one of the latest applications that is coming forth from Google for all Google users. It is actually a social networking site similar to the Facebook. Google's president of enterprise, Dave Girouard, announced the launch of this application from Google, in a public facing note. The Google plus is an application indicating the newer version of Google, and is said to have all facilities like the Gmail, Calender, Gtalk , Docs, Groups etc. He says that though the recognition was a bit delayed, they are doing it right, by introducing the Google Plus. Though the exact launch time wasn’t announced, nor any details regarding the application was given out to the public or media, the news, as captured by the Pocket lint, runs that Google is expanding its size of the social network service and making it available for more users. The company had sent out invites, earlier in the week, to invite the existing users to start using this Google application.
The application was launched the last month as a trial, and unless you get an invite from Google or someone who has joined the Google plus, you will not be able to create your account. It is a lot similar to Facebook and Twitter owing to the fact that it allows people to share video and information publicly or with friends. They also have made tie ups with the YouTube, Gmail, Picasa and other technologies that are popular in the social networking world. The service is purely focused on the consumers, but even business entities are looking for an opportunity to go public with public facing pages. The Google product manager Christian Oestlian said that adjustments for this are being made so that both business people and normal people can use it alike and these non-user entities can make a profile which is much less user centric. |
